Proper Tree Work
For a Greener Future
Our Services
From routine pruning to complex removals and tree-health concerns, our work starts with understanding the tree, the site, and what will provide the best long-term result.
Structural pruning, clearance pruning, crown care, and maintenance designed to improve tree health, safety, and appearance.
Careful removal of hazardous, declining, storm-damaged, or unwanted trees with attention to surrounding structures and landscapes.
Evaluation and practical care for trees affected by pests, disease, environmental stress, or declining vigor.
Emergency
Responsive help when storms, broken limbs, or unstable trees create immediate concerns for your home or property.
Local Knowledge Matters
Trees in the Portland area grow in a unique combination of wet winters, dry summers, dense neighborhoods, mature landscapes, and variable soils. Good tree care means looking beyond the immediate problem and understanding how the tree is growing, what surrounds it, and what will support it over time.
Goldfinch Tree Care approaches every property individually. We look at tree condition, structure, access, nearby buildings and utilities, long-term health, and the homeowner’s goals before recommending work.
We recommend work based on what the tree actually needs—not simply on what can be cut.
We plan around homes, fences, gardens, driveways, utilities, and neighboring properties.
We explain what we see, what we recommend, and why before the work begins.

Tree work can involve large equipment, difficult access, valuable landscapes, and important safety decisions. Homeowners should understand what is being recommended before work begins.
Our goal is to provide useful information, practical options, and professional tree care that makes sense for the tree and the property.
Our lead arborist is an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist — the highest level of certification awarded by the International Society of Arboriculture. Every assessment and recommendation is grounded in that expertise.
Tree care based on observation, structure, condition, and long-term health.
Thoughtful planning around buildings, landscaping, access, and cleanup.
Clear options rather than unnecessary work.
A Portland-area company serving the communities where we live and work.
